Charlie Cauchi is a doctoral candidate in the department of Film Studies at Queen Mary University of London.  Using Malta as a case study, her current research aims to provide in-depth analysis of this lesser-known example of world cinema.  She is head programmer for BornShorts, an annual international short film festival on the island of Bornholm in Denmark.

Jo Palmer is a freelance production manager working in live performance both nationally in the UK and internationally. She has worked with such companies as Split Britches, Shunt Events and Action Hero. Her experience spans across many performance genres encompassing Dance, Theatre and Live Art, and has included large and small events, both indoor and outdoors. In addition, she has written a technical performance manual, Basics; Getting Plugged Up for Performance, which is currently in publication. She teaches accompanying workshops to developing performance practitioners with an aim to broaden technical knowledge and foster creative and effective collaborative relationships between practitioner and technical staff.
